How much power can a 12V 300Ah LANPWR battery store?

The nominal capacity of the 12V 300Ah lanpwr battery is 3.84kWh (12V×300Ah), and usable energy at 80% depth of discharge (DOD) is 3.07kWh, i.e., equivalent to continuous power supply for a 100W device for 30.7 hours. In case the load power is kept at 2000W (e.g., an air conditioner), after being converted by an inverter of efficiency 90%, the actual power supply time is 3.07kWh/(2000W/0.9)=1.38 hours. The 2023 comparison test of Tesla Powerwall users proves that the same capacity lanpwr battery pack can provide a full 24-hour range for a 300W refrigerator (2.4kWh per day), 150W lighting (1.2kWh), and 50W router (0.4kWh) in RV application, while the lead-acid battery will only last 12 hours.

The cost-benefit analysis shows that the cycle life of the lanpwr battery is 6,000 times (DOD 80%). Based on one discharge and charge per day per day, it can be operated around the clock for 16.4 years. Its cost per kilowatt-hour is a minimum of 0.006/kWh (based on a unit price of 2500), which is 75% less than lead-acid batteries of equivalent capacity ($0.024/kWh). When used in off-grid solar installations and paired with a 5kW photovoltaic array, the lanpwr battery can store 15kWh of electricity per day (using 4 hours of effective sunlight), generating 5,475 kWh of electricity per year, which is sufficient to power 51.5% of the average annual 10,632kWh electricity consumption of an American home.

Under extreme environment testing, the lanpwr battery also had 85% capacity (2.61kWh) at the low temperature of -20℃, whereas the lead-acid battery only gave 40% (1.54kWh). Data from the Antarctic field station in 2024 suggests that this battery could power a 1kW heater for 2.46 hours at a state of -50℃, and the battery cell temperature difference was maintained at ±2℃. Under high-temperature environments (60℃), its annual capacity reduction rate is only 0.5% (lead-acid batteries 3.8%). UL 1973 certification shows that its thermal runaway initiation temperature is as high as 268℃, 98℃ higher than the security threshold of ternary lithium batteries.

In terms of charging and discharging capacity, the lanpwr battery supports 1C charging and discharging (300A current) and 80% charging of the battery capacity (2.46kWh) within 30 minutes. Take the RV driving charging system as an example. With a 60A DC-DC charger, it takes only 4 hours to top up the battery from 20% to 100%, which is 2.5 times faster than lead-acid batteries. In the 2023 off-grid clinic project in Africa, it was affirmed that under a 4.2kWh daily average load (taking into account medical equipment and air-conditioning), with this battery pack in combination with an 800W solar panel, it can maintain zero grid dependence, reduce the rate of diesel generator usage by 89%, and save $4,200 annually on fuel.

From the point of view of safety design, lanpwr battery has passed the UN38.3 and IEC 62619 certifications, and the short-circuit protection response time is less than 2ms. In the puncture test, when a puncture was made on a fully charged battery using an 8mm steel nail, the highest surface temperature was just 58℃ (205℃ for lead-acid batteries), and there was no leakage of electrolyte. In the 2021 California wildfires, 23 energy storage systems with this battery only lost 0.3% capacity after 72 hours of external high-temperature environments (ambient temperature 55℃), whereas lead-acid battery packs lost 19% capacity.

Practical application examples show that a single lanpwr battery can power a 3000W induction cooker for 61 minutes (3.07kWh/3kW) or for the 15.3-hour continuous use of a 200W water pump. In both the 2023 hurricane season, one Florida community used this battery for the 61-hour use of emergency communication equipment (50W), while the lead-acid battery system only lasted 29 hours of use during the same period. Its modular design allows for an expansion to 6 groups in parallel (cumulative capacity of 18.4kWh), weighing only 198kg (540kg for the lead-acid counterpart), and occupying installation space by 63%. It also particularly suits space-constrained ships and mobile workstations.
